Arts Etobicoke presents Augmented Reality in the Village of Islington! Bringing together local artists and the magic of augmented reality technology, this exciting project adds a new digital layer to select murals in the Village. The activations are designed to reflect the people who live and work in The Village and to share stories from the community with a focus on immigration and Indigenous voices. Be on the lookout for “Art is Here” stickers throughout The Village of Islington to find out how you can experience all of the Augmented Reality activations.
We hope you will visit us Saturdays August 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th for free guided tours of Augmented Reality in the Village of Islington. Tours will be led by Arts Etobicoke staff and volunteers hourly between 12 and 5pm. A tour will last approximately 1 hour, starting and ending at The Storefront Gallery at 4893a Dundas Street West.
