The Covid-19 Mitigation & Safety protocols under the Reopening Ontario Act announced by the Provincial government and the guidance published by the City of Toronto will be in place for all our outdoor events and activities.

Arts Etobicoke in partnership with Delta Family Resource Centre is thrilled to present Arts in Wincott Park – a FREE series of arts activities and workshops for the residents of Kingsview Village – Westway community. 

The program will offer two sessions of an hour and a half each from 3:30 pm -6:30 pm every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The sessions will be conducted in safe and small groups at Wincott Park. All Health & Safety protocols will be in place. Each session will have a maximum of 7 participants and priority will be given to residents of KVW neighbourhood.

In the event of cancellation of the one or more sessions due to severe weather or other unforeseen circumstances, the event will be rescheduled for the subsequent Monday or Tuesday.

 

Acting in the Moment with Jessica Bowmer


This workshop will hone into the unique and hidden talents you possess through physical movement. We will start with a walking exercise that will transform you into a specific character, followed with a few improvised activities that will challenge and shape your character. This workshop is for ages 14-18.

We have two back to back sessions of the same workshop in order to accommodate more participants. However, each workshop will only have 7 participants so please register below to book your spot.

Your Body, Your Voice, Your Stage with Suchiththa 

Participants will learn to move with text and explore the world around us with our bodies. Be prepared to move, be heard and have fun!

Drama Dream Workshop with Suzzane Roberts Smith

A series of physical theatre activities that invite you to celebrate the way you express yourself within an ‘ensemble’ through fun, funny and focused games! A chance to be, reveal, and enjoy yourself and encourage others to do the same! This workshop is for all ages.

Intro to Improv with Samara Stern

Improv is a theatre art form where there are no scripts – everything is made up on the spot! In this workshop, students will learn the foundations of how to build an improv scene. It is a great way to build confidence speaking in front of other people, practice not judging yourself and develop drama skills. Beginner and experienced performers welcome.
