An annual exhibition for Toronto high school students held every Spring at Sherway Gardens

A popular event since 1996, our 'smART stART' show gives students the opportunity to showcase their work in a busy West Toronto shopping mall where thousands of shoppers at Sherway Gardens can take in the exhibition. As well, the students have the opportunity to meet individually with professional artists who provide instructive critiques. Students are able to sell their work following the show.

The Student Art Show is a non-juried format. However, over a thousand Sherway patrons annually vote for their favourite piece of art in the People’s Choice Awards, sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Kingsway-Humber. The five schools with the top accumulated votes for students’ work receive $200 each to be used for their schools’ visual arts programs.
