Arts Etobicoke is thrilled to partner with The Ontario Book Publishers Organization (OBPO) for the 2nd year on their 3- year initiative with the Toronto Arts CouncilWhat’s Your Story?, a series of literary events taking place in the inner suburbs of Toronto: Etobicoke, North York, East York, and Scarborough.

A writing contest earlier this summer selected four writers from each neighbourhood – one established and three emerging, unpublished writers – who the OBPO commissioned to write a short piece about their neighbourhood. Join us on September 12 to hear the Etobicoke writers give a public reading of their pieces.

What’s Your Story Etobicoke?
is an exciting evening hosted by award-winning novelist, critic and former Director of The Humber School for Writers, Antanas Sileika. The evening starts at 6:30pm with readings from the contest winners: David James Brock, Lorrayne Anthony, Novka Cosovic and Margot Lettner.  After a short break there will be two workshops, “Setting the Scene ” led by Antanas Sileika and "Writing Dialogue" led by David James Brock.
