What is “The Gift Shop” Show?

“The Gift Shop” Show is a well-curated and uniquely designed gift
shopping experience in The Storefront Gallery at Arts Etobicoke. This show will have a variety of arts and crafts from many disciplines.We want to showcase craft and design from the diverse artists, members, and artisans that live, work, and play in our community.

The Storefront Gallery at Arts Etobicoke will be transforming into an unusual art and design walk-in shop complete with an extravagant window display. The gallery will be decorated and designed with the help of our After-School Arts Drop-In youth around the theme of illuminating celebration. space will be transformed using fluorescent, neon, pop colours, lights and glow in the dark paints. This display will add sparkle and shine to the objects on sale.

If you want to be a part of this awesome spectacle, please submit images of considering size and price point. We want to sell everything on display, so we are asking for items to be priced under $100.

Arts Etobicoke is hosting our members and artists in a unique exhibition, “The Gift Shop” Show in the Storefront Gallery at Arts Etobicoke this festive season! This curated show will run from November 15, 2019 to December 20, 2019.
We are now accepting applications from artists and artisans who make unique, handmade works; including fine art, jewellery, clothing/textiles, crafts, food products, etc. to be a part of this experiential exhibition. This opportunity is free to participate, however, the Gallery Committee will be making selections as to what makes it into the show.

Artist Information:

Arts Etobicoke is hosting our members and artists in a unique exhibition, “The Gift Shop” Show in the Storefront Gallery at Arts Etobicoke this festive season! This curated show will run from November 15, 2019 to December 20, 2019. The Gallery is open Monday - Saturday.

This is a curated show and as such, our Gallery Committee will be reviewing submissions for suitability and diversity of products. Please see our application form for more information & submission deadlines. All the artworks, handicrafts, products should be priced under $100.00 and be no more than 30 cms in length, width and height. Every submitted artwork/ product should be for sale. Arts Etobicoke will manage all sales and take a 30% commission.70% of the total sales will be paid to the artist through cheque, by January 31, 2020.

Each participant may submit a maximum of 15 different images. Please name all your images as (ArtistName_Product_No). There are no restrictions on the medium of the artwork/ product, however, please mention in the application if there are any specifications on the installation of the piece. All products must be installation ready.

Review:

The gallery committee will review submissions for suitability. Please see our application form for more information. Remember to include images of the artworks/ products or type of products you wish to exhibit at the “The Gift Shop” Show.

Only exhibits which are approved by the Gallery Committee as outlined in the application form will be displayed. All artworks/ products must be handmade/created by the applicant or applicant group.
