Arts Etobicoke is calling on artists living or working in Etobicoke to apply to our Juried Art Show.

The theme for this juried art show is "Life in Etobicoke". We are looking for artwork that represents your neighbourhood or community. This can address the uniqueness of the people, the geography or the physical surroundings. By coming together, we can explore and interpret our community. 

Juror Award Winner will receive a Solo Exhibition at Art's Etobicoke's Store Front Gallery!

How to Apply
Please fill out an application at the link listed below. 

All applications must be received no later than November 30, 2017 at 4pm and include an image of the work submitted. Each artist may submit up to three pieces for consideration.  Images can be no larger than 600px wide. Application requires final dimensions, medium and suggested retail price. 

The show requires no application or entrance fee.

Opening Reception:
Saturday, January 20th, 2018, 1pm - 3pm

Jury Process
Jury members include: 
Djuna Day, Artists
Chad Wolfond, Lonsdale Gallery Director
Lee Petrie, Coordinator, Exhibitions and Residency Programs, Living Arts Centre

The Jury will look at the work based on how it relates to the theme and the work’s artistic quality, technical execution, originality, and impact.

Submissions received after the deadline will not be considered.

Terms for All Artwork:
Only original work (no copies or reproductions) may be submitted. A value must be given even if the work is not for sale. All reasonable care will be exercised in handling work while at the Arts Etobicoke Gallery. Artists assume responsibility of damage or lost of work during transportation, any damage of artwork that is not properly protected, hard-wired or affixed for presentation, and accidental breakage of glass or other fragile article damage. Artwork must remain in the Gallery for the entire duration of the show. There is no secure storage after the pickup date and time. The Gallery reserves the right of final suitability of subject matter and feasibility of installation. The decision of the jurors is final.

All works must be ready for hanging.  Works that are poorly prepared for hanging may not be accepted. 

Accepted artworks dropped off or delivered late to the venue for hanging may not be included in the exhibit.

Purchase of Artwork:
Works may, but do not need to be for sale. The Arts Etobicoke Gallery will act as intermediary in the sale of art and will take a commission of 30%.
